The Hague International Space Resources Governance Working Group byla založena v roce 2016. Zakládajícím Consortium partnerem je the International Institute of Air and Space Law of Leiden University. Jejími členy jsou zástupci vlád, mezinárodních organizací, vesmírných agentur, zástupci průmyslu a akademici. The Hague International Space Resources Governance Working Group usiluje o vytvoření základů budoucího (a ve světle České republiky žádoucího) mezinárodního právního rámce pro těžbu nerostných surovin ve vesmíru. Její poslední iniciativou je Draft Building Blocks for the Development of an International Framework on space resource activities.
